At the CRE® Annual Convention 2024 in New York (September 28, 2024 – October 1, 2024) Herman Kok was invited as panellist and speaker in the session on Global Cities in an Era of Change moderated by Michel Couillard, where real estate experts from Europe, Latin America, and Asia shared their expertise and viewpoints with the audience, highlighting their diverse real estate markets and economic components.
Herman discussed key macro-economic trends in Europe and how these impacted the real estate markets in Europe’s gateway cities. How are various factors – from geopolitical issues to climate change to demographic changes – affecting markets around the world? Herman highlighted in his speech the challenges and opportunities in Europe’s large cities. Given high wealth levels and stable growth patterns, combined with good market transparency scores, there is a growing interest of international investors from outside Europe on market opportunities in Europe
